PDO Program Information
Parents Day Out (PDO) is an opportunity for children ages two to five to engage in social interaction with other children their age. The goal is to prepare them for a life of learning while giving parents the opportunity to more easily attend to everyday tasks. This program is offered every day of the week and children can attend as little as one or as many as five days a week. It is the expectation that once registered for a day or days that the commitment is maintained throughout the school year. However, space and staffing does limit the enrollment.
Each day’s program is three hours long and and during that time there is open play, age appropriate activities and crafts plus a time for snack. Diaper changing and toilet training are part of the day.
Parents Day Out begins after Labor Day and runs through Memorial Day. The hours are 9:00 a.m. to Noon. The program is licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services.
