Enrichment Programs
Art and Games
Available to anyone 3, 4 or 5 years old by September 1 of the relevant school year.
This class provides a variety of mediums for students to explore and create projects. The students will develop their fine and gross motor skills while producing inventive artwork and engaging in group games. This class allows self-directed, free expression to create artwork. The students will use painting, sculpting, drawing, collage and printmaking as a way to express their unique, individual self.

Fun with Food (previously Cooking Up Some Fun)
Available to anyone 3 years old or older by September 1 of the relevant school year.
If your child enjoys making his/her own food and is curious about how to do things in the kitchen, then he/she will enjoy this class. Each session will embrace cooking and teach about making healthy food choices. By measuring ingredients, your child will gain math skills as well as strengthen their fine motor skills as they stir, scoop and decorate their food. When students are not cooking, they will have a chance to get messy, play, craft, and read books that center around cooking and food.

Literacy and Handwriting
Available to anyone 4 years old or older by September 1 of the relevant school year.
This developmentally appropriate and multi-sensory enrichment class will use hands-on, fun activities to build a solid foundation for literacy and handwriting success! It is based on the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum and targets the areas of pre-writing, gross and fine motor (muscles), cognitive skills, phonological awareness, alphabet knowledge, print awareness, oral language, and vocabulary. This class will use strategies and materials that are engaging and that make learning fun so that children can retain knowledge easily and effectively. Thursdays class will include additional activities to compliment each skill.

Does your child love singing and dancing? Then this is the class for him/her! The benefits of music and movement in preschool aged children is immeasurable. Besides building creativity and imagination, music helps refine listening skills, teaches new vocabulary and allows children to express emotion. Dance and movement activities will improve balance, coordination and rhythm. This class will have your child listening and singing to various genres of music, playing musical instruments and dancing their hearts out!

The class is sure to stimulate imagination and promote creativity. Fun warm-ups and acting games promote confidence in voice, teamwork, and body awareness. Working with choreography in dance allows children to develop creativity, group cooperation and many physical skills such as balance, coordination, spatial relations, strength, and endurance. Finally, an early introduction to music concepts in children has proven to increase their vocabulary and math skills dramatically over time, while also introducing them to new spatial and organizational skills in a fun, no pressure format.

Through traditional children’s songs from Spanish speaking countries as well as translated favorites, the Spanish language will come alive as children become familiar using the language in a fun way.

We will explore many topics including force and motion, light and color, sound, magnets, chemistry, water, air, and the life cycle of plants. Each science class is planned around a different topic and the children are encouraged to explore the science through a variety of experiments and projects.

Storytime Adventures

If your child enjoys listening to stories and discussing what happened, or “what if this happened”, then this is the class for them. The students will read and discuss the elements of a story and then proceed to act it out, retell it, or revise it. Who knows where their imagination will lead them when they collaboratively become storytellers.

As your child gets older, there are less and less opportunities to explore with art. This class gives your child time to create masterpieces with imagination being his/her only limitation. Using a variety of mediums, the students will paint, sculpt, draw, and collage each week. The free expression allowed in this class will build self confidence and pride in one's work. While the artwork is drying, the students will join together for some good old fashion fun and games like kickball, parachute play, and more!

Science, Technology, Engineering and Math are taught to kindergarteners with a hands on approach. In the large group the children will learn about the topic of study and then have the opportunity to perform experiments and explore materials to better understand the concept. Topics to be covered are light, color, electricity, chemistry, energy, motion, building, water, sound and air. The children will walk away from this class with a better understanding of STEM as well as a love for learning.
