Being a member of United Methodist Women (UMW) provides an opportunity to make faithful positive contributions to the lives of others while enjoying the friendship of other women. As UMW we strive to be a Christian presence in the lives of those close to us and to all people wherever they live.
UMW Interest Groups

Sew What - Sometimes we sew at church, and sometimes we take projects home to work on them. We have made quilts for our church and a children’s home, placemats for Meals on Wheels clients, stuffed hearts for a charity that provides them to heart patients in hospitals, and baby quilts for baptisms. Contact the church office for meeting dates.
Knit Wits - Meets twice a month from 7:00-9:00 pm in members' homes, and is open to anyone interested in knitting and crocheting. Provides prayer shawls and scarves for high school graduates, among other projects. Contact the church office or email Peggy Ellis at [email protected] for meeting dates.
Caring Callers - Remember those who are homebound or in need so they can continue to feel part of the women's group and our church.

In addition to a monthly team meeting and several interest groups, UMW offers these three key programs throughout the year:
- Cookie Walk - the annual December cookies walk and a primary fundraiser for UMW missions. Church members donate homemade Christmas cookies which are sold by the pound just in time for the holiday season.
- Thank Offering Sunday - in February, UMW leads worship, presenting an uplifting and enlightening service.
- UMW Mission Night - each spring, UMW hosts a TGiW evening, providing the meal, followed by a mission-focused interactive experience during worship time.
