Service OpportunitiesJesus calls us to reach out and serve others in all that we do. One component of the Youth Ministry Program is learning to actively live our faith, through service. There are several local service opportunities throughout the year, including participation in Crop Walk, 30 Hour Famine, Souper Bowl of Caring, soup kitchens, etc.
Our annual Senior High service trip is a week-long summer trip to volunteer with the Appalachia Service Project, an emergency home repair organization that serves the Central Appalachian region. We raise funds throughout the year, and meet in the early spring as well as upon our return, to prepare for and process this trip. This year our trip is to Knott County, KY, from July 24 - 31.
Our Junior High service lock-in takes place in June each summer.
